Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TaskLedger.ai (“Service”), operated by We Are Mimic LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TaskLedger is a SaaS application that connects to your email inbox via read-only OAuth access, uses artificial intelligence to identify actionable items, and organizes them into a structured task management system. The Service includes:

  • AI-powered email scanning and task extraction
  • Task management dashboard
  • Gmail label synchronization
  • Daily digest email notifications

3. Account Registration

You must authenticate using a valid Google account to use TaskLedger. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Email Access and Permissions

By connecting your Gmail account, you grant TaskLedger read-only access to your inbox. This means we can:

  • Read email metadata (sender, subject, date) and body content
  • Apply and manage Gmail labels created by TaskLedger

We cannot and will not:

  • Send emails on your behalf
  • Delete or modify your emails
  • Forward your emails to third parties
  • Store raw email content (it is processed in-flight and discarded)

You may revoke this access at any time through TaskLedger's settings or your Google account permissions page.

5. Subscription Plans and Payment

Free Tier

New users receive 200 free credits (1 credit = 1 email processed). Once credits are exhausted, a paid subscription is required to continue scanning.

Paid Plans

  • Starter ($9.99/month): 1 inbox, 2,000 credits/month
  • Pro ($29.99/month): Up to 5 inboxes, 10,000 credits/month

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe.
  • You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • No refunds are provided for partial months.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Exceed rate limits or attempt to circumvent usage restrictions
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the Service to process emails belonging to others without their consent

7. AI-Generated Content

TaskLedger uses artificial intelligence to extract tasks from your emails. AI-generated task titles, priorities, and due dates are suggestions based on email content. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. You are responsible for reviewing and acting on tasks at your own discretion.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, AI models, and branding, is owned by We Are Mimic LLC. Your task data remains yours. We claim no ownership over the content extracted from your emails.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service downtime.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, We Are Mimic LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
